The Grand Opening of East-West University’s new Student Life Center took place April 23. Speakers included Congressman Danny Davis, State's Attorney Anita Alvarez, Alderman Robert Fioretti and others.
The Student Life Center is a 17 story state-of-the-art facility for East-West students. The building offers students many benefits and amenities, including 10 floors of student housing, a mentoring and tutoring center, an expanded library, computer labs, a conference center with an auditorium, an athletic center, a multipurpose gymnasium and a welcoming area with food court.
East-West University has been a pioneer in the remarkable revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood, one of the fastest growing in Chicago. The University has called the South Loop home for more than 30 years, and has been a champion of the neighborhood’s historic significance and its continued development.
“The new Student Life Center is a celebration of the vibrant, diverse community that we are so proud to call home, and we look forward to sharing our new campus addition with our neighbors and friends in the South Loop,” said Dr. Mohammad Wasiullah Khan, Chancellor of East-West University.
