Ms. Lori Grove
Grants Specialist
Ms. Grove recently joined the Development and University Relations team at East-West University as Grants Specialist. She holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) , and a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. She is a native of Detroit, Michigan and moved to Chicago to pursue a museum career at The Field Museum. As a scientific illustrator, she prepared drawings for research publication and worked on archeological projects in Greece, Alaska, Central America, and Texas (Gulf of Mexico). She has also travelled throughout the United States and to Jamaica, Thailand, and Japan. She has worked for the University of Southern California and the UIC in capacities ranging from gallery curation to administrative support for academic departments and the design of an undersea habitat for scientific research. Her last post at The Field Museum in Sponsored Programs launched her into her current position at EWU. Ms. Grove has co-authored two books on topics of local history, and lives with her husband in Chicago.
Specialization: The selection, preparation and submission of appropriate grant opportunities for EWU, and the planning and implementation of DaUR events and programs.
