Campus, Directions, Transporation, and Parking
The campus facilities of East-West University consist of an East building located at 816 South Michigan Avenue and a West building at 829 South Wabash Avenue in the heart of Chicago’s South Loop area. The two buildings are connected by an enclosed walkway. Michigan Avenue is one of the most imposing thoroughfares in America. Grant Park and Lake Michigan are located to the east of the campus and the towering buildings to the west form a setting that is attractive and memorable.
The architectural grandeur and beauty of downtown Chicago are world-renowned. The Chicago Public Library, Cultural Center, Adler Planetarium, the Art Institute, Field Museum of Natural History, Shedd Aquarium, Buckingham Fountain, Orchestra Hall, Soldier Field, State Street shopping, theaters, the financial district, federal and state office buildings and fine restaurants are all within easy walking distance.

Ventra Card for Students
The Ventra U-Pass provides low cost transportation to students in the Chicago Metropolitan area by providing unlimited rides on CTA buses and trains. East-West University participates in the program for the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms.
A. All full-time, on-campus, degree-seeking undergraduate (12 quarter hours or more) are eligible for Ventra; part-time students are NOT eligible for the Ventra U-Pass nor are they assessed the Ventra U-Pass fee.
A. The Ventra U-Pass is active for an entire quarter.
A. If you have not registered for Spring quarter you will need to do one of the following : First time and Re-Entry students only :attend Ventra U-Pass event to have your picture taken on April 4th2014 on the 4th floor West building for. Continuing students have to see Ms. Amra on the 8th floor in room 836.
A. CTA is moving to the Ventra system, all Chicago based, full-time students will be required to be issued a Ventra U-Pass card in the fall term, and will be charged the Ventra U-Pass fee. Students will use the same card during their entire time at East-West University; the Ventra card expires after 5 years.
A. You must have an East-West University photo ID and your East-West University Spring Schedule to pick up your Ventra U-Pass.
A. Lost, stolen, or damaged Ventra U-passes are to be replaced at East-West University, not at CTA Headquarters. Bring your student ID, a photo ID, and $50 cash to the Financial Aid Department and we will order you a new card. A card takes 7 business days to arrive, and then will be available for pick up.
A. No, the CTA Ventra U-Pass is personalized with your photo and a special CTA ID number. The Ventra U-Pass is not transferable and will be confiscated by the CTA if it is misused. CTA maintains the right to inspect your Ventra U-Pass and or ask for another form of identification.
A. Unfortunately, no. The Ventra U-Pass is only good for trains and buses operated by CTA. Metra and Pace don’t currently offer discounts to college and university students. Students may use the Ventra card as a standard transit card on Pace buses only. Pace is not part of the U-Pass discount. Students pay the full fare on all PACE bus routes, Ventra allows you to pre-load with funds for use between terms and on Pace buses.
A. If you have a balance on your card for whatever reason make sure that you pay that balance off because your upass will not work unless you do.
A. If you think that your card is defective make sure that you call Ventra number on the back of your card to get information about your account. If by any reason Ventra customer service is not helpful to you please go to Ventra office located on 165 N. Jefferson Chicago, IL 60661.
