Dr. Injoo Kim
Dr. Injoo Kim is a Director of Computer and Information Science Program at East-West University. She earned her B.S in Computer Science from Kwangwoon University in South Korea, and her M.S and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. She has been teaching at East-West university since 2000. Her research is in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Intelligent Tutoring Systems. She is also interested in the study of Security Issues in the VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network). Her current interest is Software Engineering Project Management.

Dr. Julie (Yu) Zhang
Dr. Julie (Yu) Zhang is an Associate Professor of Computer and Information Science Program at East-West University. Dr. Zhang received her BS in TV Broadcasting Engineering from the Communication University of China, her MS in Management Technology, University of Wisconsin-Stout, and her PhD in Computer Science, DePaul University. She has been teaching at East-West University since 2000. Her research is in the area of medical image processing and analysis and Machine Learning. Her current interests are the data analysis, machine learning.

Komal Vashisht
Komal Vashisht earned bachelor’s in computer science & engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and master’s degree in information technology from Lingaya’s University, Faridabad. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she’s a very detail-oriented, passionate, and innovative with her teaching methods. Some of her subjects of interest include computer architecture, operating systems, software engineering & testing, and programming languages. A skilled communicator and published author of several papers in international and national journals and conferences. Her philosophy as a teacher exhibits reciprocity and evolution with an ability to synthesize and communicate complex information to students and favors an interactive teaching style that encourages student participation and engagement while facilitating learning. She has mentored several postgraduate and undergraduate students to articulate their research topics to accomplish their goal.
Fran Casillas
Fran Casillas is a director & cinematographer born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico. During his youth, he was awarded the gold medal for ‘Best Cinematography’ at the national college film Olympics Cine Campus. Before pursuing his MFA in Film & Television Directing at DePaul University, his cinematic endeavors over the last decade had led him to numerous collaborations with Puerto Rican directors, and to ultimately become co-founder and member of the film collective Producciones Tabaquero. His visual aesthetic has been core of films such as "Esta Isla" (2014), "Enganche" (2015), and "Anacrusa" (2021), among others. While Casillas BASc studies in Philosophy and Existentialism certainly cast shades of surrealism on his body of work, presently he’s working on infusing Caribbean perspectives into new proposals, while challenging the contemporary and historical narrative standards that have tinted Puerto Rican folklore. His primary area of research is how time and memory affect the human connection.
